Why Corona del Mar homes have different HVAC needs

Corona del Mar mixes older beach cottages with large modern rebuilds, all sitting in salty ocean air. That shapes what your system needs:

• Salt air corrosion. Ocean air wears down outdoor condenser coils and cabinets faster than inland. Regular cleaning and coated coils add years to a system near the water.

• Older homes without ducts. Many older cottages were built without central air. Ductless mini-splits and compact heat pumps add cooling without tearing open walls.

• Modern rebuilds with multiple zones. Newer custom homes often run two or more systems and zoning. We service multi-system homes and smart thermostats.

• Tight lots and quiet neighbors. Small side yards leave little room for outdoor units. We help choose quiet, compact equipment and placement that fits.

• Marine layer humidity. Damp coastal mornings can lead to musty air and mold in ducts. Good filtration and dehumidification help.

Corona del Mar HVAC FAQ

How fast can you get to Corona del Mar?
We schedule most Corona del Mar appointments the same day or next day. Call or text 949-357-2665.

Can you add AC to an older Corona del Mar home with no ducts?
Yes. Ductless mini-splits and small heat pump systems are made for exactly that, and we'll design a layout that fits your home.

How do I protect my AC from salt air?
Rinse and service the outdoor unit regularly, and ask about corrosion-resistant coils when replacing. Regular maintenance should always include cleaning the coils.

Should I repair or replace my AC?
If your system is more than 15 years old, uses R-22 refrigerant, or needs a major repair like a compressor, replacement usually makes more sense. We'll show you both options with prices before you decide.

What areas near Corona del Mar do you serve?
All of Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Laguna Beach and the rest of Orange County.
